TERMS
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026.10.20
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between Mealwoo ("the Shop") and the customer in reserving and collecting cakes through this site.
Article 2 (Definitions)
"Reservation" means an order placed through this site for a cake to be collected in store on a chosen date. "Member" means a customer who has created an account. "Guest reservation" means a reservation placed without signing in.
Article 3 (Posting and amendment)
These terms are posted on this page. The Shop may amend them within the limits of the law, and will post the amended text and the date it takes effect on this page at least 7 days beforehand — 30 days where the change is unfavourable to customers.
Matters not covered here follow the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and ordinary commercial practice.
Article 4 (The service)
The Shop provides cake reservation for collection in store. There is no delivery. Pickup dates, hours, closed days, how far ahead a reservation may be made and the maximum quantity per item are shown on the reservation page; the maximum is 50 of any one cake per reservation.
The Shop may change or suspend the service for operational or technical reasons, and will post notice where it reasonably can.
Article 5 (Accounts)
An account is created with an email address, a password and a verified mobile number. A reservation may also be made as a guest, without an account.
You may close your account at any time. Records the law requires the Shop to keep are retained for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
Article 6 (When a reservation becomes a contract)
You place a reservation by choosing cakes and quantities, a pickup date, and entering the name and mobile number for collection, having read the notices shown above the form.
A reservation is received as "Received" and becomes a contract when the Shop confirms it and the status changes to "Confirmed". The Shop may decline a reservation where the cake is unavailable, the date is full, the details are wrong or incomplete, or the request is plainly not genuine.
A reservation number is issued on receipt. Members see their reservations on My Page; a guest reservation is looked up with the reservation number together with the name and mobile number used.
Article 7 (Price and payment)
Prices are those shown on the reservation page at the time of reservation, and include VAT. The total is calculated by the Shop's system from the prices held there, not from the figure submitted by the browser.
Payment is made in store when the cake is collected. Where the Shop offers payment in advance through a payment processor, the means available and any conditions are shown on the reservation page at the time.
Article 8 (Cancellation and refunds)
Cancellation and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: a full refund up to the day before the pickup date, and after that the cake is a good produced individually to order, so the right of withdrawal is restricted under Article 17(2)(5) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
Members may cancel from My Page. Guests should contact the Shop using the details in the footer.
Article 9 (Your obligations)
Please give a name and mobile number that are correct and reachable: they are how the Shop contacts you about your order and how a guest reservation is identified at the counter. The Shop is not responsible for a failure to reach you caused by details that were wrong.
Do not reserve in another person's name, place reservations you do not intend to collect, or interfere with the operation of the site.
Article 10 (Minors)
Where a minor reserves without the consent of a legal representative, the minor or that representative may cancel the contract. Sign-up does not ask for a date of birth, so the Shop does not check age at the time of booking.
Article 11 (The Shop's obligations)
The Shop will prepare and hand over the reserved cake on the agreed date, keep the site running steadily, and handle personal data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Where the Shop cannot fulfil a reservation it will tell you without delay and refund in full.
Article 12 (Allergies and ingredients)
Allergen information for each cake is shown on the reservation page. All cakes are made in one kitchen, so a cake may come into contact with an ingredient it does not contain. If an allergy is severe, please ask the Shop before reserving.
Article 13 (Limitation of liability)
The Shop is not liable for failure to provide the service caused by natural disaster, or by an equivalent event beyond its control. This does not limit liability for the Shop's own intent or negligence.
Article 14 (Disputes and governing law)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Where a dispute cannot be settled between the Shop and the customer, it is brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
The Shop's business details — trade name, proprietor, registration numbers, address and contact — are shown at the bottom of every page.
